Our 2023-2024 Goals

  • Increase student, staff and family involvement/participation in PTSA and school events.

  • Financially support programs and activities that impact as many students as possible, with equal attention to academics, athletics, arts, and other projects and activities.

  • Create strong relationships with and support CSIHS staff, teachers, and school programs and organizations.

  • Contribute to the positive image of CSIHS within the West Seattle community.

Anti-Racist Resolution

We commit to prolonged engagement in anti-racist work. We will continue to listen, learn, and inform ourselves about ways in which structural racism and implicit biases affect our school community, families, and students. We will center BIPOC voices at Sealth. We will routinely evaluate how our words, actions, fundraising, funding, and other ways we support our school stay true to these values and mission.

We will continue to explore the role of our PTSA in dismantling systemic racism and commit to taking concrete actions to do so. The PTSA will continue to review all policies and procedures, including stating this position on our enrollment form, prioritizing engaging with anti-racist vendors, and supporting our school administration and teachers as they implement school-wide anti-racism lessons, teacher trainings, or other events that engage students and community members in meaningful discussions and actions that address this mission.

Get involved! Join the PTSA

The Chief Sealth PTSA wouldn’t function without the involvement of people from all over our community. We encourage parents, students, faculty and staff, as well as greater West Seattle community members and businesses, to help us make Chief Sealth a great place for all who learn, teach and work at our school.

There are multiple ways to get involved with the PTSA, including becoming a member, volunteering for an event, or taking a leadership role on the Executive Board. Please join us - all are encouraged and welcome to participate in PTSA!
